About us
The former farmhouse was built in 1789. From ± 1886, the Schumacher family lived in the house for several generations until 1986. It is one of the oldest houses in Bütgenbach. We acquired this house in 1986. At the end of 1991, we had the idea of turning the house into a bed and breakfast.

And so, in June 1992, we started the building work. Of course, we didn't want to lose any of the charm of this old house, so nothing was changed on the outside of the living area, and an extension was added to enlarge our dream. On 19 December of the same year, we were able to celebrate the opening of our Pension Eifelland to our complete satisfaction.

On Mother's Day 2007, we came up with the idea of expanding the hotel, this time in collaboration with our two children Stefan and Isabelle. One day after Mother's Day 2008, construction work began on the extension.

The new breakfast room was completed in December 2008 and 8 new rooms were added in February 2009.
